Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović and his associates visited today the streets in Sušica and the Roma alley in Gračanica, which were recently asphalted.
Popović first visited the multiethnic village of Sušica where the funds of the municipality were invested in paving streets in the length of 500 meters in the part inhabited mainly by the Albanians.
Imri Ajeti, an alderman of the Municipal Assembly of Gračanica, told for RTV Gračanica that the Municipality of Gračanica was not working only for the benefit of the Serbian community but other as well, which had been shown many times so far.
“I would like to thank Mayor Srđan Popović, who fulfilled his promise to asphalt this road. I would like to emphasize that the Municipality of Gračanica and the mayor work equally for all communities, which was proved today”, said Imri Ajeti, adding that the people of Sušica were very satisfied with the local authorities.
Mayor of Gračanica municipality, Srđan Popović emphasized that the municipality continued to invest in infrastructure evenly in all settlements of the municipality.
“The Municipality of Gračanica is the service of all locals living in its territory, regardless of national or religious affiliation. We are working to ensure that the municipality develops equally in order to improve the quality of life of our citizens. This is proof that in Gračanica municipality there is no place for any division, and the improvement of the living conditions of our citizens is in the first place”, said Popović, adding that Sušica got about a kilometer of road this year and there were many different projects planned.
After Sušica, the mayor of the municipality visited the Roma alley where a street was also paved. During his visit he talked with the locals, listened to their problems and needs, and promised that, according to these needs and possibilities of the municipality, all the problems would be solved.
