The Ministry for the Kosovo Security Force will be conducting the field exercise “Agile Lion 3” on the 10th and 11th of November 2010 in three regions of Kosova: Podujeva, Lypjan and Istog.
The objective of this field exercise “Agile Lion 3” is to prove the KSF skills of respond in crises and natural disasters as well as to demonstrate skills of coordination for inter-institutional action at state level.
Field exercise will be developed in interaction with other Ministries and agencies: Secretariat of the National Security Council of Kosovo (SNSCK), Situation Center of the Government (SCG), Ministry of the Internal Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Local Government Administration, International Airport of Prishtina, Red Cross of Kosovo and three municipalities: Podujeva, Lypjan and Istog.
For this exercise, special KSF units with their capabilities will be put in action. Based on the scenario, the exercise plan has foreseen different simulated situations that require responds and face up on crises such as: earthquake, mined fields, air causalities, fires in industrial premises and protests of the citizens.
During the field exercise KSF units will be dispatched from the barracks and they will be seen moving and deployed at different locations, therefore due to this reason MKSF has undertaken all necessary measures that in the locations where the operations of the exercise will be performed, the normal lives of the citizens will not be interfered. In such circumstances, with the intention of the most successful performance of the field exercise “Agile Lion 3”, we would like to request from all citizens their understanding and cooperation.
