The OSCE project for the Legal Libraries which started in 2009, covered most of Kosovo Municipalities (27) having the primary objective to build the capacities for better compliance of the Municipalities with rule of law and good governance principles.

 

Istog Municipality benefited from the project by providing its officials and citizens of the municipality a possibility to consult and use legal literature that this library is available of. The project has been assessed as a very useful and successful.

The OSCE Director, Regional Office in Pejë, Mr. Jovdat Mammadov expressed his satisfaction to be at the premise of the Legal Library and himself, see the achievements of the legal library of Istog municipality, implemented by OSCE. He delivered the award of 1.000,00 Euros to the Municipal Mayor, for the best legal Library in Pejë region.

 

“The success of this project could not have been achieved without commitment of the all stakeholders and I am delighted to have this opportunity to compliment and thank You all for that” stated Mr. Mammadov in his pronunciation.

 

The Municipal Mayor Mr. Haki Rugova, thanked the OSCE for the project by adding: “Our excellent and continued cooperation with OSCE, became traditional; The OSCE suggestions and advice are considered seriously from our side”.

 

The Legal Advisor, who is a focal point for normal functioning of the Legal Library, Mrs. Zekije Sutaj, thanked the OSCE expressing her conviction that OSCE support shall continue also in the future”.
