Total budget, grants and own revenues, Istog municipality for the fiscal year 2013, will be EUR 7,330,753.00, whereas for capital projects will be spent € 1,585,324.00.
It should be noted that in this budget, already approved by the Assembly, an important role of this process, played the citizens, even today, when the budget was adopted, citizens contributed with their discussions and suggestions, whose proposals, many of them, are now part of the budget.
In some of the questions raised by the citizens and Assembly members, replied the Mayor Mr. Haki Rugova and CFO, Mr.. Sadikaj.
The Assembly was today presented the Report of the Auditor General for the year 2011, an obligation arising from the Law on Financial Management and accountability of budget organizations.
"Istog municipality has 9 recommendations, but it is important that our municipality does not present a risk scale of the breach or bad financial management," stated Sadikaj, posing as one of the most sensitive defect, the record and management with municipal assets, a problem that almost all municipalities in the country are facing with.
In connection to this report, Mayor Rugova said:
"I am not satisfied with the report, but I am not disappointed, either; We are a bit late with the establishment of the Audit Committee, but we will have this committee established within a week, while as for management of municipal assets, they are of a technical nature. We will make an action plan for eliminating these weaknesses in the report, "said mr. Rugova.

The Assembly approved today two draft Regulations: Regulation for tax on immovable property, which has not undergone substantial changes from the one of the last year, and the Draft Regulation on the internal organization of the municipal bodies;
In addition, the Assembly announced  two draft Regulation for public discussion:
– Draft Regulation on the work of educational institutions in the municipality of Istog and
-Draft Regulation on discipline and behavior in the schools of the municipality of Istog

In a regular monthly session of the Municipal Assembly, chaired by mr.Demë Qeta, the Assembly approved the Municipal Budget for the years 2013-2015, after an elaboration made by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), mr. Osman Sadikaj.
